Why We Started Here

A roof isn't a purchase most people make often, and in a neighborhood with as much mixed housing stock as the Mission District, most owners inherit a roof system they've never had to think about until it starts failing. Owner Aaron Mitchell built Master Roofing San Francisco CA around the idea that a roofing job should hold up the way it's supposed to — through another decade of sun, wind, and wet winters — and that the company doing the work should still be around, and still answering the phone, when you need them.

That means we don't chase every lead across the Bay Area. We focus on San Francisco and the Mission District neighborhoods we actually know — the shared-roof realities of TIC-owned Victorian flats, the narrow lots, the permit-parking logistics of staging a job here, and the way this neighborhood's sunnier, warmer microclimate ages a roof differently than the fog-belt streets twenty blocks west.

How We Work

Every project starts with an honest inspection, not a sales pitch. If a repair will genuinely solve the problem, we'll say so — we're not incentivized to sell a full replacement when it isn't needed. If a roof really is past its useful life, or a flat rooftop section on a multi-unit building has finally failed, we'll explain exactly why, in plain terms, with photos.

Pricing is written and itemized before any work begins. No verbal estimates that turn into a different number on invoice day, and no allowances that quietly balloon once the crew is on-site.
